Senior Software Engineer – Image and Data Processing Libraries

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Create scalable library software utilizing contemporary tools and programming languages

• Fine-tune, optimize, and evaluate numerical methods and algorithms across various architectures

• Collaborate closely with product management and both internal and external stakeholders to grasp feature and performance needs

• Play a key role in shaping the technical roadmaps for software libraries

• Offer technical leadership and support to library engineers

• Recognize opportunities to enhance library performance and design abstractions that minimize maintenance expenses

• Design, develop, and optimize algorithms for software libraries accelerated by GPU and CPU

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred PhD or MSc degree in Computational Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a relevant science or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience

• Over 12 years of experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing high-performance parallel numerical applications on modern computing platforms

• Proficient in GPU acceleration using CUDA

• Exceptional C/C++ programming and software design capabilities

• Demonstrated experience in leading and completing software development projects

• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills

• Solid understanding of CPU and/or GPU hardware architectures

• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and project management tools like JIRA

• Experience in working within a globally distributed organization

• Advanced skills in debugging, profiling, and testing for accuracy and performance

• Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python
