Senior Software Engineer II, Network Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop software for both control plane and data plane.

• Create and manage APIs.

• Diagnose issues and enhance the customer experience.

• Take ownership of Network Products offerings from start to finish.

• Drive the design, implementation, testing, and optimization of scalable services and tools.

• Address performance and monitoring challenges.

• Work in collaboration with Networking teams as well as cross-company teams to develop products and services.

• Maintain existing products while devising innovative solutions for challenges.

• Enhance tools and processes to ensure reliable, mission-critical delivery.

• Set best practices for development and architecture.

• Provide mentorship to engineers within the Networking team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a software architect and lead developer in creating scalable, real-time, and distributed systems.

• Strong expertise in the Go programming language and unit testing.

• Knowledge of the Networking stack and a desire to learn more.

• Proven experience in coordinating efforts across multiple teams to establish API contracts.

• Background in cloud development, containerization, and virtualization.

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) practices.

• Some experience in data plane programming, such as eBPF and XDP.

• Proven track record of enhancing stability, performance, and scalability in business-critical systems.

• History of automating the delivery of high-quality, thoroughly tested, production-ready software.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.

• Bonus: Experience with gRPC to construct robust distributed and high-demand systems.

• Bonus: Experience in the development of Firewall, DNS, and Network Monitoring systems.

• Bonus: Working knowledge of Temporal and Kafka.
