Senior Software Engineer – iGaming

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications utilizing Elixir and associated technologies.

• Facilitate discussions regarding architecture, technical design, and engineering best practices with cross-functional teams.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code that adheres to internal standards.

• Drive optimizations for performance to enhance scalability and system efficiency.

• Design and implement integrations with external APIs and services.

• Take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving intricate issues related to functionality, performance, and reliability.

• Participate in and support on-call rotations, including incident response duties.

• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to foster engineering best practices.

• Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies and share innovative ideas with the team.

• Contribute to the design and planning of new features and system enhancements.

• Implement best practices for security and data protection.

• Build and refine complex domain logic such as rules engines, decision frameworks, and policy systems.

• Design and maintain high-throughput, real-time or near-real-time data pipelines and enrichment systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with familiarity in Elixir/Erlang, TypeScript, or similar languages.

• Strong grasp of API design best practices.

• Extensive experience with testing methodologies and frameworks.

• Background in microservices, event-driven systems, and high-traffic or data-intensive applications.

• Knowledge of client-side or system performance optimization techniques.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD, code standards, and contemporary engineering practices.

• Ability to work independently while balancing multiple priorities.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

• Exceptional written and spoken English proficiency.

• Experience in the iGaming sector is advantageous.

• Familiarity with real-time or near-real-time data processing systems.

• Understanding of event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and stream processing.

• Experience in building complex business logic systems (rules engines, decision frameworks, policy engines).
