This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and leadership, to define long-term technical strategies and convert business requirements into customer-focused solutions.
• Engage in roadmap planning and collaborate with the team to facilitate execution and delivery.
• Design and architect straightforward, cost-effective solutions for complex features, emphasizing security, scalability, and performance, ensuring compatibility across both cloud and self-hosted environments.
• Develop production-quality code across our entire stack, utilizing Angular/TypeScript, Node.js, and Go for API development.
• Expand our SDK and providers to enable Pulumi Cloud functionality across various languages, including TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Python, C#, and Java.
• Take part in code and design reviews, sharing knowledge and mentoring engineers within the team.
• Over 8 years of experience as a highly effective software engineer.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, bring clarity, and make sound decisions based on incomplete information.
• Proficiency in modern cloud-based systems architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong analytical skills with a systematic, first-principles approach to problem-solving and a sharp eye for effective design.
• Passionate about coding and a consistently active contributor who uplifts the entire team.
• Eager and inquisitive about the advancing AI landscape, with a commitment to integrating state-of-the-art LLMs to enhance team and product outcomes.
• Experience utilizing modern AI tools and LLMs to create production-grade products and customer-facing experiences, focusing on reliability, quality, and user value while accelerating development and improving product capabilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proficient in multiple programming languages such as Go, TypeScript, Python, Java, and C#.
• Familiarity with deployment orchestration and infrastructure-as-code tools.
