Senior Software Engineer – IA Generativa

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and implement production-ready Generative AI applications.

• Develop solutions utilizing LLMs, agents, and RAG architectures.

• Create APIs, microservices, and reusable components for AI initiatives.

• Integrate AI models with enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and both structured and unstructured data sources.

• Architect cloud solutions on AWS or Azure while considering security, scalability, observability, and maintainability.

• Implement information retrieval using embeddings and vector databases.

• Develop model selection strategies based on accuracy, cost, latency, and context.

• Implement LLMOps practices for deployment, monitoring, versioning, and operation.

• Participate in defining technical architecture alongside engineers and product teams.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to transform business needs into technical solutions.

• Deploy AI solutions into production and continuously optimize cost, latency, and accuracy.

• Integrate enterprise platforms with AI components.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software development experience.

• More than 3 years of building Generative AI solutions for production.

• Experience implementing end-to-end solutions, from prototype to production.

• Proven experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in Product, UX, Data Science, and Backend.

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.

• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, REST APIs, microservices, Docker, and Git.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, AI agents, LangChain, LangGraph or equivalents, Tool Calling, and agent orchestration.

• Experience integrating foundational models such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or Llama.

• Practical experience with embeddings, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS and/or Azure.

• Familiarity with integrating APIs, serverless services, storage, authentication, queues/events, databases, and observability.

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, versioning, monitoring, observability, logging, and cost optimization.

• Strong understanding of Transformers, Embeddings, Attention, Context Window, Temperature, tokenization, Fine-tuning, LoRA, and RAG.

• Knowledge of Node.js, hybrid search, reranking, retrieval quality evaluation, and tools like LangFuse, LangSmith, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, or CloudWatch is desirable.
