This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Engineer and oversee the complete lifecycle—analysis, prioritization, and technical implementation—of scalable process enhancements within the Financial Systems ecosystem.
• Design and facilitate the smooth integration of new subsidiaries and business initiatives, considering the Financial Systems stack as a modular platform designed for rapid scaling and deployment.
• Execute programmatic system configurations that reconcile intricate business logic with stringent automated compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Operate as a Lead Engineer, guiding junior team members on configuration quality, system design principles, and established technical best practices.
• Cultivate impactful partnerships with stakeholders to align technical system capabilities with overarching business strategies.
• Oversee the entire deployment and maintenance lifecycle of third-party bundles and plugins, ensuring technical compatibility and system stability through thorough version control.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to assess the technical feasibility of backlog items, converting business objectives into high-level system requirements and architectural designs.
• Work alongside the development team to design and implement comprehensive testing frameworks (Unit, UAT, Regression) for all new system solutions.
• Develop and enforce system controls that comply with SOX requirements and IT General Controls (ITGC), integrating compliance as a core aspect of the system’s Security-as-Code.
• Lead technical discussions with external vendors and professional services, serving as the primary technical advocate for the integrity of the internal platform.
• Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Corporate Financial Systems stack, providing high-level technical consulting to internal users.
• Engage in product support rotation and incident response, contributing to operational excellence and mentoring broader teams through root cause analysis, MTTR, and other incident best practices.
• Participate in and lead design reviews and code reviews to ensure that finance system architecture meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
• 5+ years of pertinent experience in IT or Financial systems configuration.
• Experience in supporting Financial Systems within a multi-company/multi-national setting.
• Practical experience in the configuration, customization, and implementation of corporate applications such as NetSuite (including SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and Saved Searches), Coupa, Avalara, and Stripe.
• Familiarity with or exposure to NetSuite REST/SOAP APIs, SuiteScript, or similar platform extensibility and integration methodologies.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and automation concepts.
• High motivation, self-starting attitude, excellent follow-up skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively while meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication abilities (written, verbal, presentation), capable of conveying technical topics to non-technical end users in large organizations.
• Demonstrated capability to drive projects from inception to completion.
• Proven experience interacting with individuals across all levels of the organization.
• Solid understanding of the Agile methodology.
