Senior Software Engineer – Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance essential services and features for the business.

• Engage in technical and architectural discussions by assessing trade-offs and suggesting sustainable solutions.

• Assume responsibility for production systems, overseeing their behavior, performance, availability, and progression.

• Create applications with considerations for performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and resilience.

• Recognize gaps in technical, architectural, or development processes and recommend enhancements.

• Ensure quality through automated testing, code reviews, observability, and adherence to engineering best practices.

• Investigate and resolve production issues, identifying root causes and preventing future occurrences.

• Contribute to technical documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other teams to define and refine solutions.

• Serve as a technical reference, sharing expertise and aiding in the development of fellow engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend software development.

• Proficient in developing applications and services using Go (Golang).

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.

• Experience in developing and maintaining APIs and system integrations.

• Knowledge of automated testing strategies and best practices.

• Ability to critically evaluate code, architecture, and documentation.

• Experience with production applications, focusing on observability, reliability, and performance.

• Capacity to discuss technical solutions, assess trade-offs, and communicate decisions clearly.

• Strong collaboration skills during code reviews.

• Autonomy to tackle complex problems from understanding to production resolution.

• Ability to strategically utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or similar solutions.

• Maintain critical thinking and accountability for code, architecture, security, and technical decisions made with AI tools support.
