Senior Software Engineer – Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and enhance essential services and features for the business.

• Engage in technical and architectural discussions by assessing trade-offs and suggesting viable solutions.

• Take responsibility for production systems, overseeing their behavior, performance, availability, and development.

• Develop applications with considerations for performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and resilience.

• Identify gaps in technical, architectural, or development processes and recommend improvements.

• Maintain quality through automated testing, code reviews, observability, and adherence to engineering best practices.

• Analyze and rectify production issues, determining root causes and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.

• Contribute to technical documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other teams to define and enhance solutions.

• Serve as a technical reference by sharing expertise and supporting the growth of fellow engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend software development.

• Proficiency in developing applications and services using Go (Golang).

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.

• Background in developing and maintaining APIs and system integrations.

• Familiarity with automated testing strategies and best practices.

• Ability to critically assess code, architecture, and documentation.

• Experience working with production applications, emphasizing observability, reliability, and performance.

• Capacity to discuss technical solutions, evaluate trade-offs, and communicate decisions effectively.

• Strong collaboration abilities during code reviews.

• Independence in tackling complex problems from initial understanding to production resolution.

• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or similar.

• Experience with high-scale, highly available, or mission-critical systems.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Knowledge of messaging and streaming systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture, Event Sourcing, CQRS, or Hexagonal Architecture.

• Experience with non-relational databases.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.

• Knowledge of observability, metrics, tracing, and application monitoring.

• Experience in financial services, payments, or highly transaction-critical products.
