This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Take full ownership of platform features starting from discovery and specification to design, implementation, rollout, and production operation.
• Analyze customer and operational challenges related to infrastructure provisioning, reliability, scalability, observability, deployment workflows, and operational efficiency, and convert these insights into platform enhancements.
• Implement AI-driven development methodologies to expedite research, specification, implementation, testing, documentation, and operational analysis, while upholding a high standard of verification.
• Establish, monitor, and enhance essential platform metrics such as provisioning time, deployment success rates, system reliability, incident frequency, infrastructure utilization, operational costs, and customer impact.
• Work in collaboration with platform, DevOps, product, support, and customer-facing teams to assess trade-offs, prioritize investments, and implement scalable solutions.
• Detect operational bottlenecks, reliability concerns, and scaling difficulties, and lead the development of long-term solutions from concept through to production.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, ideally in backend, platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or distributed systems roles.
• Proficient in Go or similar backend systems languages with solid production experience.
• Proven experience in managing engineering projects from start to finish, encompassing requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and iteration.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous communication, event-driven architectures, reliability engineering, and operational trade-offs.
• Practical experience with message brokers or event-streaming technologies such as NATS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Background in designing, deploying, and managing services within Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, or similar technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD systems and developer productivity tools.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, observability, alerting, incident management, and production operations.
• Proficient in AI-native engineering workflows, including hands-on use of coding agents, research agents, debugging assistants, and automation tools to enhance design, implementation, testing, operations, and documentation while maintaining high standards for correctness and reliability.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
