Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features across Raise from start to finish, including forms, campaign pages, A/B testing, analytics/reporting, and data-driven donor upgrades, ensuring equal emphasis on visual appeal and functionality.

• Contribute to the development of innovative agentic experiences within Raise, facilitating agentic form and page creation for nonprofit clients (utilizing their brand, voice, and data) and expanding this approach into email and other donor-facing interactions.

• Design, develop, and launch new revenue-generating features throughout the entire tech stack.

• Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of the systems you create, implementing monitoring and instrumentation as integral components of your work.

• Evaluate AI-generated code with a discerning architectural perspective, identifying potential issues before deployment rather than simply approving AI outputs.

• Work closely with Product and Design teams to convert the needs of donors and nonprofit customers into effective technical solutions.

• Engage in code reviews and architectural discussions, providing valuable input without causing delays (we seek strong opinions held lightly, rather than someone who hinders team progress through excessive critique).

• Write clean, efficient, and testable code for both frontend and backend systems.

• Investigate and resolve customer bugs and issues that hinder a top-tier product experience.

• Foster a culture centered on experimentation, iteration, and continuous delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in developing modern web applications, with significant time spent managing and scaling them in production environments.

• Expertise in C# and APIs, along with experience integrating with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Svelte.

• Practical experience with AI coding assistants (like Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) as an integral part of your development process, combined with a solid pre-AI engineering background.

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) and utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, TerraGrunt).

• Strong grasp of relational databases, focusing not only on querying but also on optimization strategies: indexing, query tuning, and scaling techniques (such as read replicas, partitioning, and connection pooling).

• Solid understanding of DevOps principles: CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure monitoring, and practical experience in scaling applications under actual load.

• Familiarity with observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting), preferably DataDog, and a consistent practice of using these tools to debug and avert production issues.

• A keen design sense, with comfort in managing polished, donor-facing UI work beyond mere functional implementation.
