Senior Backend Software Engineer – Ruby on Rails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Design and develop services, APIs, and integrations that facilitate experiments and adoption processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work with minimal incidents.

• Make a positive impact on product activation, user adoption, and conversion metrics through a dependable and well-monitored backend.

• Maintain documentation of technical decisions to provide clarity and alignment within the team.

• Implement test coverage, monitoring, and observability for all deliverables.

• Act as a backend technical reference, enhancing the quality and maintainability of solutions.

• Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails and developing RESTful APIs.

• Expertise in software architecture and industry best practices (SOLID principles, Clean Code, Design Patterns).

• Knowledge of Docker along with performance and error monitoring methodologies.

• Daily, purposeful utilization of AI to accelerate deliveries, coupled with critical assessment of AI-generated code.

• Capability to formulate prompts for AI and guide the resolution of intricate technical challenges.
