This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• In the role of Software Engineer, you will serve as a key technical contributor to our Aware platform.
• You will frequently face challenges, engaging in work across the entire application domain throughout the complete app delivery stack.
• Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing highly resilient, scalable, and efficient solutions that address complex healthcare challenges using technologies like VueJS, NodeJS, Java, AWS, and more.
• Engage in technical and product discussions with leaders from our engineering, product, and business teams.
• Exhibit self-reliance without the need for supervision, while demonstrating best practices in design, communication, and solutions in your daily tasks.
• Commit to continuously enhancing our standards of engineering excellence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in software development.
• Strong grounding in computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and system design for building scalable web applications and backend services.
• Thorough understanding of software engineering best practices, such as version control, testing, and continuous integration.
• Proficiency in Java Spring.
• Experience with NodeJS.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with at least one modern frontend framework (VueJS, React, or Angular).
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of REST APIs.
• Experience with automated testing tools (JUnit, TestNG, Jest, Vitest, or similar).
• Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Understanding of Shift Left and test automation principles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership; able to proactively identify opportunities, take initiative without being prompted, and follow through with determination.
