Senior Software Engineer, Financial Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and uphold hedge accounting features that support effectiveness evaluation.

• Work alongside Product and Delivery teams on user stories, sprint planning, and necessary documentation.

• Collect and integrate client feedback directly into the development process.

• Create and sustain automated testing frameworks.

• Maintain a high level of engineering quality within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in professional software development.

• Understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

• Strong expertise in an object-oriented programming language.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing features that involve both frontend and backend layers.

• Skilled in writing unit and integration tests using xUnit or comparable frameworks.

• Experience in database design and development for both relational and non-relational systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or relevant practical experience.
