This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Collaborate closely with customers, product partners, and team members to comprehend workflows, clarify requirements, and convert needs into well-defined technical deliverables.
• Develop applied AI capabilities across high-value enterprise workflows such as automation, document intelligence, decision support, fraud intelligence, and intelligent assistants.
• Implement context-aware agentic systems that integrate tools, APIs, reasoning steps, and business logic using established architectural patterns.
• Recognize opportunities to reuse existing agents, models, APIs, or platform capabilities and contribute to practical recommendations for build versus reuse.
• Stay updated on practical AI engineering patterns and propose ideas that enhance quality, speed, or customer value.
• Design and develop software while enhancing existing code to improve bug detection efficiency.
• Write unit tests and validate software against acceptance criteria.
• Create, implement, and advocate for team standards in coding, documentation, and testing.
• Conduct impact analysis to proactively assess the effects of changes across multiple applications.
• Acquire knowledge of the business process domain to better support the organization.
• Experiment with and test ideas, validate assumptions against needs, reach conclusions, and recommend solutions.
• Lead code reviews and communicate application modifications.
• Document code and projects for better understanding, maintenance, and support by others.
• Troubleshoot production issues and propose effective solutions both within the application and across multiple applications.
• Read, write, and review design documents.
• Contribute to the team's sprint commitments and actively engage in Agile practices.
• Lead continuous learning initiatives to enhance design and code quality as well as increase application domain knowledge.
• Participate in the talent selection process.
• Guide and review the code, designs, and documentation of less experienced software engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field; or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience or comparable depth of expertise.
• Strong sense of ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to function effectively in partially defined or ambiguous problem areas, with a proactive approach.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled systems, including LLM-powered applications, agentic and tool-based workflows, as well as prompt and context engineering patterns, model integration, and evaluation.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including system design, APIs, CI/CD, version control, and disciplined development workflows.
• Proficient understanding and application of one or more object-oriented programming languages and design patterns.
• Relevant experience in data modeling, design, and messaging.
• Experience with mission-critical enterprise-class applications.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor less experienced team members.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
