Senior Software Engineer, eCommerce – Magento 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Collect requirements from business teams, evaluate them from a technical standpoint, and agree on achievable timelines.

• Oversee and ensure the quality of collaboration with external development agencies, conduct code reviews, and approve deliverables.

• Design and maintain Magento 2 modules and shop functionalities across various Magento instances and countries.

• Make architectural and design choices for scalable and maintainable codebases.

• Assist in international expansion, including multi-store, multi-language, multi-currency setups, and country-specific tax and shipping regulations.

• Implement and utilize AI within development processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of software development experience, ideally in the eCommerce sector.

• Strong PHP expertise and proficiency in object-oriented programming.

• Comprehensive understanding of the Magento 2 module framework.

• Excellent communication skills: capable of conveying technical subjects clearly to non-technical stakeholders and independently managing requirements with business teams.

• Proficient in German (at least C1) for effective communication with internal business teams and management.

• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken, for ticketing and collaboration with external agencies.
