Senior Software Engineer, Data Pipeline

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Build a dependable, high-throughput data pipeline utilizing Python, Go, MongoDB, GCP, and associated technologies.

• Enhance worker efficiency, monitoring, and infrastructure autoscaling for real-time tracking handling tens of thousands of requests per second.

• Boost the throughput and reliability of imports involving millions of data rows.

• Execute integrations with additional data storage solutions.

• Transfer platform data to Google BigQuery using Google Dataflow, PySpark, and Apache Beam.

• Operate and maintain production services managing high-volume traffic with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.

• Assess peers’ code and engage in the four-eyes code review process.

• Tackle increasingly complex projects and multi-milestone deliverables.

• Engage in on-call rotation and address incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Python with a solid understanding of engineering practices.

• Experience with Go is a significant advantage.

• Background in ETL pipelines and large-scale data ingestion from both SQL and non-SQL sources.

• Expertise in data cleanup, sanitization, transformations, and loading of cleaned data into optimized storage.

• Capability to work efficiently in a remote-first environment.

• Willingness to learn and adapt while exploring new technologies, navigating a large codebase, and refining team processes.

• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, GitLab, Google Cloud Platform, Dataflow, PySpark, Apache Beam, BigQuery, BigLake Table, DataProc, Flink, MongoDB, and Redis.
