Data Engineer I – Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines along with cloud-based data solutions.

• Implement solutions for data warehousing, dimensional data models, and ETL/ELT processes.

• Establish data quality validations, create test cases, and set up controls.

• Develop and oversee data tests, including dbt tests.

• Assist in workflow orchestration, monitoring, troubleshooting, log analysis, and production operations utilizing Airflow and cloud-native technologies.

• Collaborate with business users, product partners, analysts, and technology teams.

• Adhere to engineering standards, development practices, documentation requirements, and testing protocols.

• Engage in pipeline deployments, environment promotions, operational support, and performance optimization through CI/CD processes.

• Utilize AI-driven development and productivity tools to enhance engineering efficiency, code quality, and delivery results.

• Contribute to the modernization of enterprise data platforms and cloud-based data solutions that support the bank's data and AI transformation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent with 5 years' experience.

• Preferred fields of study include Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related disciplines.

• Preferred experience in data engineering, database management, or similar fields.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies.

• Experience with enterprise ETL/ELT tools like DataStage, SAP BODS, SSIS, Informatica, or comparable technologies.

• Experience with Operational Data Stores (ODS), analytics platforms, and data products.

• Experience in cloud-based and on-premises data environments.

• Exposure to Data Vault modeling and contemporary data warehousing methodologies.

• Understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and data quality management practices.

• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, or other highly regulated sectors.

• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or other analytics and visualization tools.

• Experience with AI-powered development and productivity tools.

• Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate, SnowPro Core Certification, or equivalent cloud and data platform certifications.

• Proficiency in AWS Services, Snowflake, dbt, Python, SQL, Airflow, and CI/CD processes.

• Candidates must reside in an eligible market in the United States, with preference given to those in Raleigh, North Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona, and Dallas, Texas.
