Senior Software Engineer – Data Modeling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain backend services, REST APIs, databases, and extensive data pipelines that facilitate customer-facing insights and analytics.

• Implement and manage near-real-time stream-based data processing pipelines in conjunction with batch-oriented data refresh workflows.

• Create and enhance a query engine capable of addressing intricate, cross-deal/account inquiries and providing actionable insights for sales managers and executives.

• Scale data processing and insights generation pipelines to accommodate increasing volumes of activity data (emails, meetings, transcripts, CRM objects) while effectively managing infrastructure expenses.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to convert business and customer requirements into robust, well-documented technical solutions.

• Adhere to and advocate for software development best practices, delivering clean, maintainable, and well-monitored code.

• Develop internal tools to empower customer support teams to investigate and resolve support requests independently.

• Ensure high-quality alerting, dashboards, tracing, and runbooks are established for all production services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in constructing backend systems within an enterprise setting.

• More than 2 years of experience programming in Python or Scala.

• Proficient in distributed systems and service-oriented architecture (SOA).

• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks (such as Spark, Hive, Hadoop, MapReduce, or similar).

• Familiarity with stream processing technologies like Kafka, Apache Samza, or Apache Storm.

• Experience with Elasticsearch is advantageous.

• Knowledge of LLMs or NLP is a bonus.

• Understanding of analytical databases and ETL pipeline design.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a history of delivering elegant, practical solutions.

• Experience in taking ownership of an unfamiliar or legacy codebase and incrementally enhancing it.

• A strong inclination towards automation and minimizing manual operational tasks.
