Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to thoroughly comprehend analytics needs and pipeline specifications.

• Convert intricate stakeholder requirements into practical, comprehensive technical engineering documentation.

• Evaluate existing data architectures and establish optimal strategies and methodologies to deliver valuable business insights.

• Identify and implement essential data transformations to convert raw data into refined, production-ready datasets and deliverables.

• Collect, model, and consolidate large and complex datasets that fulfill both functional and non-functional enterprise requirements.

• Design, construct, and enhance complex SQL queries and scalable data pipelines for end-user analytics.

• Create intuitive reports, data visualizations, and interactive dashboards for end users.

• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis on internal and external data sources and pipeline processes to identify anomalies, resolve issues, and promote continuous performance improvements.

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data warehousing solutions using Snowflake or equivalent modern cloud platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Advanced SQL & relational databases: Expert-level SQL with regular hands-on experience in constructing complex queries, indexing, and managing relational databases.

• Cloud data warehousing: Demonstrated experience with Snowflake or a comparable modern cloud data warehouse.

• Scripting & programming: Advanced expertise in an object-oriented and/or functional programming language such as Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc., for data engineering and automation.

• Data visualization & BI tools: Experience in creating production-grade reports and interactive dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

• Analytical & problem-solving skills: Strong capability to perform root-cause analysis across processes and datasets to troubleshoot complex data issues and identify optimization opportunities.

• Mindset: Quick learner, highly organized, detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and a drive for problem-solving.
