Senior Software Engineer – Data Control Frameworks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and develop scalable frameworks for data quality and validation systems that manage financial data at an enterprise level and across various datasets.

• Take ownership of services from start to finish, including architecture, implementation, deployment, and ongoing operational support.

• Develop tools and interfaces that assist operations teams in efficiently identifying, investigating, and resolving data-related issues.

• Design and implement robust, scalable cloud-native infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as product managers, data engineers, and operational stakeholders to deliver impactful features.

• Utilize modern data processing technologies like pySpark and Databricks to construct, validate, and oversee data pipelines.

• Contribute to the overarching Data Platform vision of making data easily discoverable, trustworthy, and actionable across Addepar.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant professional experience in software engineering.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong expertise in Java, Python, and/or another similar object-oriented programming language, with a proven track record of writing high-quality, maintainable code.

• Familiarity with SQL and database systems, including both relational databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems like DynamoDB.

• Demonstrated experience in building and managing distributed systems and processing data at scale.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of approaching complex issues from various perspectives with objectivity.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in collaborating across both engineering and non-engineering teams.

• Self-motivated and adept at working in a dynamic environment where priorities may change rapidly.

• Experience in writing Infrastructure as Code to represent your designs and deploying cloud-native infrastructure on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
