This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create, enhance, and optimize backend and/or full-stack systems that drive HTS Assist, internal agent tools, and customer self-service experiences.
• Develop scalable APIs, microservices, and orchestration logic that facilitate intricate post-booking processes across AI, chat, voice, and web channels.
• Work alongside product, design, AI, and operations teams to implement features that enhance customer satisfaction and agent productivity.
• Integrate external systems (telephony, CRM, identity management, booking platforms) for internal applications and partner implementations.
• Take ownership of features throughout the entire process: technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Participate in architecture decisions, conduct code reviews, and contribute to reliability enhancements and engineering best practices.
• Evaluate system performance and user interactions to pinpoint opportunities for automation, optimization, and cost savings.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably working on large-scale distributed systems or customer-facing applications.
• Strong technical knowledge in modern frontend and backend development, distributed systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar).
• Ability to break down complex challenges, make practical compromises, and deliver results iteratively.
• Excellent communication abilities and comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
