Senior Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage essential infrastructure services that drive NVIDIA’s global AI framework.

• Design and create secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native platform services.

• Create software for infrastructure orchestration, self-service workflows, and platform automation.

• Oversee integrations with both internal and external platforms for infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management.

• Establish observability and security features to enhance infrastructure reliability and resilience.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and networking teams to deliver scalable production services.

• Promote operational excellence through automation, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 8 years of relevant industry experience.

• Strong expertise in Python and Go programming languages.

• Proven experience in developing production-quality software.

• Familiarity with building cloud-native microservices and APIs on Kubernetes.

• Experience with FastAPI, gRPC, or RESTful services.

• Proficient in using Terraform and Ansible.

• Knowledge of Temporal workflow orchestration.

• Experience with distributed systems utilizing databases, Redis, Kafka, NATS, and SQS.

• Capability in designing, building, and operating production infrastructure services such as DNS, NTP, AAA, and observability platforms.

• Strong foundational knowledge of Linux.

• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and gNMI.

• Familiarity with BGP, switching, routing, and load balancing.

• Experience with VPNs, firewalls, and iptables/nftables.

• Excellent skills in problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.

• Hands-on experience with network infrastructure, InfiniBand, RDMA, AI/HPC networking, NetBox, Nautobot, open-source contributions, or public cloud experience will be considered an advantage.
