Senior Software Engineer – Continuity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create large-scale progressive and single-page web applications that enhance user workflows and boost efficiency and effectiveness.

• Develop backend services using Python and FastAPI, including REST APIs and ML pipeline services.

• Implement new features to support our rapidly expanding customer base.

• Produce secure, maintainable, high-quality code for a high-scale HIPAA-compliant web environment.

• Collaborate with Product Management, ML, Data Science, Customer Success, and other stakeholders on feature development and defect resolution.

• Promote product quality, security, and performance enhancements.

• Enhance the codebase and product through code reviews, design collaboration, and strong engineering practices.

• Develop and manage Continuity applications, APIs, and integrations that transform clinical data into actionable workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5+ years of engineering experience in single and multi-tenanted environments.

• Extensive knowledge of Python and FastAPI, or other equivalent modern languages/frameworks.

• Familiarity with relational and document-based databases, as well as other large-scale data storage solutions.

• Understanding of modern web architecture and best practices.

• Experience with unit and integration testing.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a distributed team, with strong version control skills utilizing Git.

• Background in addressing performance and optimization challenges, particularly at large scale, with a demonstrated capacity to identify and mitigate these issues.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows while upholding high standards for code quality, reliability, and security.

• Experience with PostgreSQL.

• Knowledge of third-party integrations such as Auth0 and Amplitude.

• Experience in an early-stage startup environment.

• Exposure to HIPAA-compliant settings, especially with FHIR and HL7.

• Background in machine learning.

• Must have authorization to work legally in the US.
