Senior Software Engineer, C++ - Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and implement new functionalities for Jitterbit’s iPaaS and APIM platform.

• Utilize technologies including C++, Java, Lua, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Nginx, Tomcat, Apache, MySQL, SQL Server, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, and AWS services.

• Take ownership of projects from the design phase through to deployment.

• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the system in a 24x7x365 operational environment.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and operations teams.

• Contribute to the evolution of integration and automation practices.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers and developers.

• Make informed, data-driven decisions and play a role in significant initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in developing large-scale distributed applications.

• Extensive experience in creating multi-tenant SaaS applications.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

• Experience with Microservices and Cloud-based architecture/design patterns.

• Proficient in Java.

• Significant experience with leading RDBMS platforms such as SQL Server and MySQL.

• Exceptional skills in authoring JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java Node.js, or Go.

• Familiarity with application deployment using Docker and/or Kubernetes.

• Practical experience with AWS services like DynamoDB, S3, or CloudFront.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to thrive in a distributed team and remote work culture.

• Self-motivated and able to contribute to key initiatives.
