Senior Software Engineer, C++ - Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and create innovative features for Jitterbit's iPaaS and APIM platform.

• Take ownership of projects from the design phase all the way to deployment.

• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of systems in a 24x7x365 environment.

• Develop large-scale distributed applications as well as multi-tenant SaaS solutions.

• Utilize C++, Java, Lua, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Nginx, Tomcat, Apache, MySQL, SQL Server, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, and AWS services.

• Collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and operations teams.

• Produce high-quality, maintainable, understandable, and extensible code.

• Assist in mentoring junior engineers and developers.

• Make data-informed decisions and actively contribute to significant initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in developing large-scale distributed applications.

• Extensive experience in building multi-tenant SaaS applications.

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Familiarity with microservices and cloud-based architecture/design patterns.

• Significant expertise in Java.

• Considerable experience with leading RDBMS like SQL Server and MySQL.

• Excellent skills in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML authoring.

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Node.js, or Go.

• Knowledge of application deployment using Docker and/or Kubernetes.

• Practical experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, or CloudFront.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to thrive in a distributed team and remote work culture.

• Self-motivated and able to drive key initiatives independently.
