Senior Software Engineer, C++ – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and implement new functionalities for Jitterbit’s iPaaS and APIM platform.

• Utilize C++, Java, Lua, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Nginx, Tomcat, Apache, MySQL, SQL Server, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, and AWS services.

• Take ownership of projects from initial design through to deployment.

• Guarantee scalability, reliability, and performance in a 24x7x365 operational environment.

• Develop dependable and scalable architectures for extensive distributed applications.

• Produce maintainable code that can be easily understood, modified, and built upon by other engineers.

• Collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and operations teams.

• Mentor fellow engineers and developers.

• Lead critical initiatives and make decisions based on data analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in developing large-scale distributed applications.

• Significant experience in creating multi-tenant SaaS applications.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Proficient in microservices and cloud-based architectures/design patterns.

• Extensive experience in Java.

• Considerable experience with leading RDBMS like SQL Server and MySQL.

• Excellent skills in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML authoring.

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Node.js, or Go.

• Familiar with application deployment through Docker and/or Kubernetes.

• Practical experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, or CloudFront.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to function effectively within a distributed team and thrive in a remote work culture.

• Competence in making data-driven decisions.
