Senior Software Engineer, C++ - Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and implement innovative features for Jitterbit’s iPaaS and APIM platform.

• Utilize C++, Java, Lua, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Nginx, Tomcat, Apache, MySQL, SQL Server, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, and AWS services.

• Take charge of projects from the design phase to deployment.

• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance in a 24/7/365 operational environment.

• Collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and operations teams.

• Develop high-quality, maintainable, understandable, and extensible code.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers and developers.

• Make informed technical decisions based on data and contribute to integration and automation efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in developing large-scale distributed applications.

• Significant experience in constructing multi-tenant SaaS applications.

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.

• Experience with microservices and cloud-based architecture/design patterns.

• Strong proficiency in Java.

• Considerable experience with leading RDBMS such as SQL Server and MySQL.

• Excellent skills in authoring JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Node.js, or Go.

• Familiarity with application deployment using Docker and/or Kubernetes.

• Practical experience with AWS services like DynamoDB, S3, or CloudFront.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to work effectively in a distributed team and thrive in a remote culture.

• Self-motivated and able to focus on key initiatives.

• Ability to make decisions based on data analysis.
