Senior Software Engineer - C++

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Implement innovative and advanced product features

• Author and oversee the design and execution of code that powers Arista products

• Propose and determine which features to develop

• Lead software design and architectural decisions

• Develop, test, and document new features

• Collaborate with customers in the field as required

• Contribute to software development that transforms data center switching

• Partner with the Platform team, focusing on hardware integration and chip programming

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant industry experience of 3+ years

• In-depth knowledge of algorithms

• Proficient in software architecture

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages

• Practical experience with design and implementation in a robust product-engineering setting

• Strong debugging skills, particularly in embedded systems

• Experience in software development for forwarding ASICs, FPGAs, network processors, etc.

• Familiarity with hardware abstraction layers

• Knowledge of datapath forwarding for ACLs, QoS, Unicast, Multicast, EVPN, MPLS, VXLAN, and OAM

• Excellent communication skills and ability to function well within a team

• Proven experience throughout the entire software development life cycle, from requirement gathering to feature delivery

• Background in Network Systems Software development is advantageous
