Senior Software Engineer, Backend – Identity Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and achieve quarterly objectives for the team

• Guide engineers through uncertainty and complex challenges

• Provide support to team members throughout the delivery process

• Work in collaboration with product management, design, and analytics during the product development lifecycle

• Engage in ideation and clearly communicate technical limitations

• Collaborate on decisions that weigh risks and trade-offs

• Identify and lead the resolution of project, process, technology, and business challenges

• Develop and track metrics related to team outputs

• Raise issues and assist in maintaining operations and on-call responsibilities

• Establish or enhance code review and design standards

• Promote engineering standards through documentation and technical presentations

• Foster team talent through effective feedback, guidance, and leading by example

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python or Kotlin

• Proven experience in developing highly available distributed systems

• Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes

• Capability to outline technical plans for major features or system components

• Skills in creating elegant, simple, and extensible designs

• Competence in writing high-quality, maintainable code

• Experience in making substantial modifications in a large codebase

• Background in developing tools and practices for safe code modifications

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
