This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +6 more states.
• Take ownership of and achieve quarterly objectives for the team.
• Guide engineers through complex, open-ended challenges and provide support throughout the delivery process.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during the entire product development lifecycle.
• Engage in ideation, clarify technical limitations, and collaborate on risk management and trade-off decisions.
• Identify and lead the resolution of challenges related to projects, processes, technology, and business operations.
• Enhance operations and ensure artifact availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues, and participating in on-call duties.
• Establish and refine standards for code reviews and design.
• Promote engineering standards through documentation and technical presentations.
• Foster team development through constructive feedback, guidance, and exemplary leadership.
• Over 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and launching scalable backend systems.
• Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
• Proven experience in developing highly available distributed systems.
• Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in building and managing workflow orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Flyte, Prefect, Temporal, or Luigi.
• Knowledge or experience in scaling Spark or Flink for extremely large datasets on Kubernetes.
• Capability to define technical strategies for significant features or system components with elegant, simple, and extensible designs.
• Ability to produce high-quality, comprehensible code.
• Proficient in making substantial modifications to a large codebase safely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
