Senior Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Spearheading the design and execution of essential backend services for high-performance, complex distributed systems

• Assuming responsibility for critical technology choices, focusing on scalability and optimizing output

• Advocating for and utilizing contemporary development methodologies like BDD and TDD, which would be highly advantageous

• Producing clear, modern, and thoroughly tested code

• Collaborating with various teams within a product-oriented environment

• Performing code reviews and consistently seeking opportunities to enhance our workflows

• Developing comprehensive internal documentation for the projects you engage in

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound understanding of the complete development cycle (design, development, and deployment)

• Familiarity with constructing developer frameworks and workflows that enable seamless integration for both customers and third parties

• Experience in Python is beneficial (as it is our primary language!), but we have successfully recruited engineers from diverse technical backgrounds, recognizing that adaptability is key

• Highly driven self-starter who appreciates autonomy and values productivity

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of payments, with a continuous drive to enhance our merchant developer experience

• Must be located in: Poland, Portugal, Hungary, Romania, or South Africa.
