This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections.
• This involves planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links.
• Analyzes and resolves issues related to end user software programs and connectivity.
• Provides training for end users.
• Users utilize the DLA Account Management Provisioning System (AMPS) to request access to JAMMEX.
• Offers recommendations on technological direction to align with the business vision.
• Required to deliver both local and remote maintenance support for various operational systems deployed across multiple locations.
• Support encompasses general maintenance, upgrades, and new installations of servers and applications.
• Applies advanced technical expertise in application networking, including load balancing applications, while ensuring fault tolerance.
• Conducts vulnerability management.
• Ensures the system is accessible to authorized users when needed, operating securely and efficiently.
• Sets up (provisions) accounts for authorized users.
• Manages the security functions of the system.
• Performs backups as necessary and confirms the success of these backups.
• Reviews system logs and alerts the ISSM of any unusual activities detected within the system.
• Ensures users refrain from actions that could compromise system security.
• Removes accounts and privileges from the system for users who have departed from the organization or whose privileges have been revoked due to disciplinary measures.
• Disables inactive accounts.
• Executes software installations as required.
• Configures and maintains Operating System (O/S) parameters.
• Must possess experience with Drupal, JBoss, and Solr.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing.
• Six years of this experience must be specialized in various Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions.
• A minimum of four years of concentrated, hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and addressing issues with various software.
• Must hold applicable Application Administrator certifications as per the DLA Approved Cybersecurity Computing Environment (CE) List (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Server+, Citrix, LoadRunner, Oracle Infrastructure, Okta, RedHat Systems Administrator, SAP Systems Administration, etc.).
