Senior Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and develop APIs and microservices that link legacy databases to contemporary user-facing applications.

• Produce scalable and maintainable code using modern programming languages such as .NET and TypeScript.

• Construct event-driven integrations utilizing streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.

• Collaborate with front-end developers and product teams to provide integrated end-to-end solutions.

• Implement monitoring, testing, and performance optimization to ensure stability and reliability.

• Uphold data security, compliance, and privacy standards in accordance with governmental regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in developing server-side applications or services.

• Proficiency in .NET and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and designing APIs that connect with legacy databases and front-end services.

• Practical knowledge of relational databases such as DB2 or SQL Server.

• Comprehension of application security and authentication standards, including OAuth2.

• Experience with event streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.

• Comfort with agentic, AI-assisted development workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent experience; 5-7 years of relevant experience is preferred.
