Senior Software Engineer, Back-End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and sustain backend services that support essential business processes

• Manage projects from inception to completion, including design, production, and iterative improvements

• Create APIs and data models that are intuitive, reliable, and easy to utilize

• Collaborate across various systems (orders, inventory, logistics, data) to address complex and interconnected challenges

• Make informed decisions balancing speed, scalability, and maintainability

• Enhance system reliability through proactive monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting

• Contribute to engineering standards, participate in code reviews, and maintain documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years specializing in Python

• More than 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms

• Familiarity with infrastructure, monitoring, and CI/CD methodologies

• Knowledgeable in the following technologies:

• - A Python web framework

• - Testing frameworks

• - Containerized workloads (Docker)

• - Relational databases (preferably Postgres) and SQL

• Strong emphasis on communication and documentation skills

• Proven experience in designing stable, scalable, and well-documented APIs
