Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Keep abreast of emerging cloud services and assess if cloud-native options can substitute stack components.

• Continue to work towards achieving a fully automated infrastructure.

• Analyze new instances to identify the most cost-effective pricing while collaborating with the provider on long-term pricing strategies.

• Enhance the tools utilized daily for managing clusters.

• Collaborate closely with product management when evaluating new features.

• Champion the protection of existing APIs' performance.

• Develop, oversee, and expand Zendesk's Search infrastructure.

• Manage a blend of self-operated clusters and AWS-managed services.

• Advance infrastructure automation to facilitate growth with Zendesk and its clientele.

• Proven experience in operating large-scale systems.

• Background in building, managing, and scaling Search infrastructure.

• Familiarity with self-managed clusters.

• Experience with AWS-managed services.

• Understanding of cloud services and cloud-native solutions.

• Proficiency in infrastructure automation.

• Experience in cluster management.

• Knowledge of API performance considerations.
