Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services.

• Contribute to frontend functionalities as needed.

• Create high-quality, thoroughly tested software in accordance with contemporary engineering and DevOps best practices.

• Participate in architecture, system design, and technical decision-making throughout the platform.

• Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Review code and provide mentorship to team members.

• Continuously enhance engineering standards.

• Troubleshoot issues in production environments.

• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Assist in developing the technology that supports the Talent Operations platform and global hiring and talent lifecycle processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–6+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong emphasis on backend development and some frontend exposure.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, Microservices, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS.

• Proven experience in designing scalable systems and distributed architectures.

• Regular use of AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.

• Strong grasp of Test-Driven Development (TDD), software engineering best practices, and principles of clean code.

• Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Bonus: Experience in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).

• Bonus: Experience in developing highly scalable SaaS platforms.
