Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional leaders to discover product and AI opportunities linked to revenue, customer success, efficiency, or overall company value.

• Engage with customers and internal teams to comprehend workflows, pinpoint issues, and convert business requirements into technical strategies.

• Develop full-stack solutions utilizing Python, TypeScript, and React, encompassing product features, internal tools, integrations, data workflows, and AI-assisted applications.

• Manage projects from initial discovery and prototyping through testing, production deployment, user adoption, and continuous enhancement.

• Establish success metrics prior to development and assess business or customer outcomes.

• Make informed decisions about scope, speed, maintainability, security, and technical quality.

• Transform successful customer-specific or internal solutions into reusable components, documented playbooks, and scalable product functionalities.

• Incorporate customer and deployment insights into the broader product roadmap.

• Keep stakeholders updated, identify risks early, and create structure across different departments.

• Gain a thorough understanding of the company’s product, architecture, business model, customer workflows, and AI initiatives.

• Assist in defining the purpose, priorities, success metrics, and operational model for the Senior Software Development function.

• Review product and AI concepts and prioritize projects with distinct revenue, user success, or operational leverage potential.

• Advance prototypes, stalled initiatives, or high-priority business challenges into dependable production use.

• Set standards for discovery, technical scoping, deployment, documentation, feedback, and outcome assessment.

• Oversee internal and customer-facing projects from business problem identification to measurable results.

• Create reusable tools, integrations, and implementation patterns.

• Assist in deciding whether customer requirements should remain tailored solutions or evolve into core product capabilities.

• Contribute to shaping and scaling the Forward Deployed Engineering function, including setting goals, processes, responsibilities, and hiring needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in software engineering, demonstrated by shipping real, functioning software beyond coursework, tutorials, or unlaunched prototypes.

• Practical experience with production applications using Python, TypeScript, and React.

• Comprehensive understanding of full-stack fundamentals, including APIs, databases, testing, debugging, deployment, authentication, and cloud-based systems.

• Ability to independently address technical challenges and discern when to seek additional context, support, or a second opinion.

• Proficient in communicating with customers, executives, developers, and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capable of proactively discussing progress, trade-offs, risks, and evolving expectations.

• Ability to link technical decisions to revenue, adoption, efficiency, risk, and customer outcomes.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguous problems, asking direct questions, organizing various components, and forging a path forward.

• Thoughtful application of AI development tools.

• Experience in constructing or deploying production systems that involve LLMs, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluations, guardrails, or human-in-the-loop workflows.

• Direct experience working with customers in roles such as implementation, solutions engineering, technical consulting, product development, or similar fields.

• Background in an early-stage or bootstrapped company environment.

• Familiarity with marketing automation, CRMs, HubSpot, real estate technology, workflow automation, or data-intensive SaaS products.

• Proven ability to manage a project from problem identification through to launch and evaluation of outcomes.
