Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold high-quality backend systems using Python.

• Collaborate with frontend, product, and various engineering team members to outline and determine backend functionalities for the product.

• Design both internal and external APIs that drive the UpDoc platform.

• Develop and manage integrations with third-party healthcare services.

• Assist with various aspects of the complete engineering stack, including DevOps, CI/CD, and observability.

• Engage in routine engineering tasks such as code reviews and resolving production issues.

• Work alongside clinical experts to guarantee that our services remain accurate, reliable, and trustworthy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in backend development.

• Proficient in working with type-hinted, contemporary Python.

• Capability to deliver dependable, maintainable systems in a fast-paced environment where safety is a priority.

• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals relevant to backend, such as networking basics, HTTP, caching, database design, RPC, etc.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (particularly Azure), DevOps/IaC practices, and containerization.

• Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

• Extensive background in software testing methodologies and practices.

• Skilled in troubleshooting complex technical issues in production settings.

• Proven ability to learn continuously, work independently, and communicate effectively.

• Experience managing projects from inception to completion.
