Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• This senior technical position encompasses the entire software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to deployment, including system support, compliance, and mentoring junior team members.

• The Senior Software Engineer IV will be responsible for the architecture, design, and engineering of core STARLIMS software, focusing on user-facing applications, business rules, data management logic, and embedded system control components.

• This position will significantly contribute to modernizing the technology stack to facilitate ongoing product innovation, scalability, and sustainable growth.

• Collaborate with the technical manager to create customer-centric solutions.

• Offer daily support and address operational challenges. Ensure the maintenance of installation and operating procedures for complex, multi-system environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in software engineering, showcasing strong SQL skills and foundational programming knowledge.

• A B.S. in Computer Science or a related engineering field (such as Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering), or equivalent training and experience.

• Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management, validation and qualification, and administration of regulated applications.

• Familiarity with change management (both data and configuration), system and network security, and disaster recovery protocols.

• Capability to create SDLC documentation, installation instructions, change requests, test protocols, and training materials.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Business Analysts, Software Developers, and customers.
