Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of features from inception to completion within a startup setting that promotes high autonomy.

• Develop and enhance backend systems that manage billions in mortgage transactions.

• Utilize AI tools to create and deploy production code, supported by human review and AI guidance.

• Design and construct resilient, extensible infrastructures that adapt to complex and evolving federal, state, and agency regulations.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to establish the optimal customer experience.

• Acquire a profound understanding of the intricacies of the mortgage servicing sector.

• Rapidly learn new concepts and technologies, applying them to solve challenging issues.

• Engage with product and platform/infrastructure teams based on team alignment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-10 years of experience to be part of the engineering team.

• At least 4 years of software engineering experience in developing quality software applications at scale.

• Excellent communicator, capable of collaborating across functions to reconcile product and technical needs.

• Skilled in using AI coding tools (such as CoPilot, Cursor, etc.) as part of the daily development process.

• Experience in system design for large-scale distributed systems.

• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms; must be proficient in hand-coding solutions without AI support.

• A bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred.

• Proficient in constructing scalable systems from the ground up with quick turnaround times.

• Experience in one or more areas: web application development, mobile application development, building large-scale distributed systems, or infrastructure management.

• Strong time management abilities to maximize productivity in a dynamic startup environment.

• Familiarity with Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
