Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and develop scalable platform components utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and React.

• Create and sustain distributed systems, real-time data pipelines, and essential microservices to facilitate platform expansion.

• Oversee code and architecture evaluations to maintain high standards of reliability, performance, and maintainability.

• Contribute to and promote the adoption of contemporary infrastructure methodologies — CI/CD, containerization (Docker), ArgoCD, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.

• Take ownership and deliver significant projects from inception to completion, translating business requirements and R&D insights into scalable technical solutions.

• Recognize opportunities to minimize repetitive tasks, enhance developer workflows, and bolster system resilience.

• Develop long-term systems — striking a balance between delivery speed and sustainability alongside technical excellence.

• Participate in production support responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in backend systems, platform services, or infrastructure.

• Proficient in Node.js and contemporary development patterns (TypeScript/JavaScript).

• Strong background in designing and scaling distributed systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and production-level deployments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, and containerization tools (Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, New Relic).

• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, systems design, and networking.

• Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A strong enthusiasm for mentoring, sharing knowledge, and supporting team growth.
