Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain CI/CD pipelines and deployment systems utilized throughout Engineering.

• Create reusable pipelines, plugins, and automation tools for other teams to adopt.

• Analyze and address failures within build agents, pipelines, and shared tools.

• Enhance build and deployment efficiency while ensuring accuracy and safety.

• Collaborate with product engineering teams to comprehend delivery challenges and implement enhancements.

• Leverage operational metrics to pinpoint bottlenecks and prioritize tasks.

• Mentor colleagues and assist engineers in independently troubleshooting build and deployment issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years' experience as a software engineer, with significant expertise in CI/CD, build systems, or release engineering.

• Capability to diagnose complex failures across systems that are not fully owned.

• Proven history of independently delivering robust solutions.

• Ability to plan and lead large-scale initiatives from problem identification to delivery.

• Comfort in collaborating with engineers outside the team to identify and resolve issues.

• Strong written communication skills, particularly in documenting systems and decision-making processes.

• Experience with Buildkite or a similar CI/CD platform (preferred).

• Familiarity with Ruby, Terraform, AWS, or Docker (preferred).

• Background in developing internal tools or platforms utilized by other engineers (preferred).

• Knowledge of deployment safety, rollback systems, or release orchestration (preferred).
