Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and deliver contemporary applications and services across public cloud, private cloud, and customer-managed environments.

• Create cloud-native and distributed applications utilizing modern APIs, managed cloud services, containers, serverless technologies, and suitable application frameworks.

• Modernize and migrate existing applications and workloads to cloud platforms, including tasks such as refactoring, replatforming, and integration with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.

• Develop and maintain front-end, back-end, API, and integration components as needed by the solution.

• Establish automated development, testing, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning workflows through CI/CD, infrastructure as code, scripting, and cloud-native tools.

• Evaluate existing applications, codebases, dependencies, and workloads to pinpoint modernization opportunities and suitable implementation strategies.

• Convert customer business and technical requirements into well-defined architectures, user stories, engineering tasks, and implementation plans.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and coding agents for code generation, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and codebase analysis while ensuring engineering review and quality controls are upheld.

• Engage in code reviews, automated testing, troubleshooting, performance optimization, security evaluations, and production-readiness tasks.

• Prototype and assess new platforms, frameworks, tools, and development methodologies for customer solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in statically typed languages such as C# and Java, along with strong skills in Python.

• Extensive experience with React and TypeScript, covering component design, state management, API integration, responsive UI development, and testing.

• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

• Experience in code review, automated testing, observability, CI/CD, secure development, and operational ownership.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted and agentic software development tools like Cursor, OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.

• Dedication to software engineering best practices and DevOps processes.

• A BS or MS in Computer Science is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

• Over 5 years of experience as an Engineer with depth in application and software stack.

• More than 2 years of experience in developing and automating software delivery workflows, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, deployment automation, and cloud services.

• Familiarity with Terraform.

• Capability to switch between hands-on implementation and higher-level solution design.

• Engineering judgment in areas such as scalability, maintainability, performance, security, cost, and delivery speed.

• Ownership of the entire process from requirements through implementation, testing, deployment, and operational handoff.

• Preferred experience with AWS CDK/CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, or equivalent.

• Willingness to travel typically 5% or less each year.
