Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Participate as a member of a cross-functional, stream-aligned team alongside an engineering manager, product manager, designer, tech lead, and other engineers.

• Strategize, develop, and maintain customer-centric software utilizing agile development methodologies and a product-oriented approach.

• Work collaboratively with teams beyond product engineering and engage closely with customers to gain insights into their requirements.

• Operate across AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud platforms.

• Take ownership of products from code commitment to production operation under the principle of “You Build It, You Run It.”

• Maintain production systems utilizing monitoring tools such as Datadog.

• Promote observability of stable systems.

• Advocate for company values, engage with communities, and enhance the engineering culture.

• Question the status quo and ensure that products provide substantial value and impact for users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary web applications.

• Proven experience in developing TypeScript/JavaScript applications and working with NoSQL databases.

• Proficiency in Python programming.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture.

• Experience with AWS serverless technologies and/or GCP.

• Knowledge of test automation to ensure code quality.

• Background in supporting production applications with robust observability practices, such as RUM and tracing.

• Experience in collaborative environments that emphasize strong engineering practices.

• Awareness of the product life cycle with a focus on customer value.

• Understanding of continuous, iterative enhancements driven by data and feedback.
