Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +29 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, debug, test, and deliver high-volume enterprise web applications.

• Engage throughout the Agile Scrum software development lifecycle, encompassing requirements analysis, software design, prototyping, programming, debugging, testing, and implementation.

• Create applications utilizing TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js, SQL, and associated technologies.

• Incorporate AI-assisted development tools into the daily engineering workflow, covering analysis, design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving.

• Write and optimize SQL, including stored procedures, database design, and performance-related tasks.

• Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments, particularly emphasizing Microsoft Azure.

• Engage in technical design and implementation decision-making.

• Identify and proactively address concerns regarding application quality, performance, or architectural challenges.

• Develop multi-tier components for high-volume systems.

• Diagnose complex application and technical issues and facilitate their resolution.

• Collaborate with developers and various technical and business teams across the organization.

• Act as a technical resource and mentor for fellow software engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Node.js.

• At least 3 years of experience in developing web applications using Next.js.

• More than 5 years of SQL database development experience, including stored procedures, database design, and performance optimization.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments; preference for Microsoft Azure.

• Practical experience with AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, debugging, and related activities.

• Experience in developing multi-tier components for high-volume systems.

• Strong troubleshooting and technical support capabilities.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within set deadlines.

• Additional development experience with C#, Java, or Python is a plus.

• Advanced infrastructure experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with using AI agents for task chaining and creating automated development workflows is preferred.

• Experience in infrastructure management is preferred.

• Knowledge of NoSQL database systems is preferred.

• An advanced degree or further training in a related technical field is preferred.
