Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop and support essential Go functionalities within the Akash node and provider daemon.

• Plan, test, and deploy network enhancements, ensuring performance on the testnet prior to mainnet implementation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes-related issues on the provider side, focusing on gateways, networking, and workload management.

• Oversee gRPC and protobuf API standards and facilitate shared code generation.

• Create, sign, and distribute provider and node software releases.

• Produce feature specifications and comprehensive technical documentation.

• Engage in the development of proprietary products such as AkashML and Akash Homenode.

• Evaluate potential attack vectors, failure management, and other non-functional specifications.

• Enhance engineering practices through exemplary coding, testing, and deployment methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive and current experience in writing Go for production environments.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes, including troubleshooting real workloads, networking, and cluster-related challenges.

• In-depth understanding of systems design principles and distributed computing.

• Strong analytical skills for modeling scenarios in reproducible testing settings.

• Proficient in cryptography, key/certificate management, and identity and access management.

• Familiarity with test-driven development and various testing frameworks.

• Experience in creating backend APIs and developing intricate services.

• Capability to produce clear technical documentation for engineers and provider operators.

• A pragmatic mindset towards crafting clean solutions for intricate issues.

• Demonstrated proficiency in working within an open-source Git workflow.

• Effective communication skills while working remotely and asynchronously.
