Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain highly scalable software components along with optimal data pipeline architecture for handling large-scale data volumes.

• Engage with the entire tech stack and low-level systems while designing extensive distributed-system interactions.

• Compile large and intricate data sets that satisfy both functional and non-functional business requirements.

• Construct systems for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources utilizing SQL and big-data technologies.

• Develop data tools that assist analytics and data science team members in building and optimizing products.

• Provide mentorship to junior software engineers.

• Collaborate closely with data scientists, data analysts, and product and business teams.

• Contribute to Kayzen's real-time bidding platform, budget management system, real-time event processing, stream data processing engine, and distributed data pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5+ years of professional experience in distributed systems.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in coding and implementing complex projects.

• Proficiency in Java; experience with C++/Golang is essential.

• Strong understanding of multi-threading, JVM, garbage collection, and profiling tools.

• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and the fundamentals of distributed systems.

• Experience with both relational SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Proficient in operating within a Unix/Linux-based environment.

• Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot, demonstrating AI utilization, adoption, and agentic coding in daily tasks.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, agile environment and a passion for continuous learning.

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
