This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive full-stack features that include AngularJS/Angular front-ends, ASP.NET server-side APIs, background processing services, and SQL database layers.
• Facilitate technical design discussions, make architectural choices, and establish coding standards within the team.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested C# and TypeScript code adhering to SOLID principles, GoF design patterns, and best practices for RESTful APIs.
• Create and enhance complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies to ensure high-performance data access at scale.
• Develop and iterate on customer-facing web applications, taking ownership of features from UI/UX to the database.
• Prototype and validate innovative approaches using machine learning and data science to address challenging problems in the pipeline integrity domain.
• Integrate external data sources, GIS platforms, and customer systems into the Irth AIP platform through robust APIs and ETL pipelines.
• Contribute to Power BI dashboards, SSRS reports, and enterprise analytics features that provide actionable insights to operators.
• Mentor junior engineers by conducting code reviews, engaging in pair programming, and sharing knowledge.
• Advocate for engineering best practices, including unit testing, CI/CD via Azure DevOps, agile methodologies, and continuous improvement.
• Over 5 years of general software development experience, with 3-5 years specifically in web application development.
• Strong expertise in C# / Microsoft ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures, indexing strategies, and query performance tuning.
• Familiarity with SPA frameworks (Angular and AngularJS) and ASP.NET WebAPI / MVC / Razor.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, SOLID principles, and GoF design patterns.
• Proficient in Git source control and unit testing (XUnit, NUnit, or similar).
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure / AWS).
• Excellent communication skills; capable of working independently in a remote-first setting.
