Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create applications and enhance product specifications.

• Collaborate with a team of internal stakeholders and clients to evaluate technical and operational requirements.

• Assess requirements and devise designs based on chosen architectures.

• Ensure that design solutions are dependable, secure, efficient, and easy to maintain.

• Prioritize simplicity over complexity in designs and user interfaces, with usability as a fundamental design goal.

• Provide scope estimates based on designs and engage in design review meetings.

• Guarantee the thorough completion of all coding tasks to meet design objectives.

• Support product testing planning, documentation, and issue resolution.

• Conduct code reviews on pull requests from fellow developers.

• Offer mentorship to junior team members as necessary.

• Actively participate or contribute as part of a team in self-directed projects and research during Team Week.

• Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending educational workshops; reviewing industry publications; building personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.

• Perform any other duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.

• Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming principles and languages (C#, C++, Java).

• Familiarity with the Microsoft .NET Framework and the C# programming language or alternatives (Java, C++).

• Experience with database systems such as SQL and/or ORM tools.

• Proficient in web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Single-Page Applications (React, Angular).

• Knowledge of WPF or other client application development.

• Experience with unit testing and functional testing for C# and/or React.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud services (AWS, Google).

• Knowledge of containers/container orchestration or microservices (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Understanding of design patterns and concepts such as MVVM, Inversion of Control, among others.

• Ability in technical writing and design documentation.
