Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Provide daily technical leadership within a small application development scrum team.

• Develop new features and enhance existing capabilities within the Certent Equity Management platform.

• Write, review, and contribute production-quality full-stack code utilizing C#/.NET, Angular, and Oracle.

• Support sprint planning, refinement, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.

• Assist in establishing daily team priorities and help unblock teammates by addressing dependencies, clarifying requirements, and resolving technical ambiguities.

• Maintain engineering standards including unit testing, code review discipline, definition of done, and release readiness.

• Advocate for achieving at least 50% AI-authored pull request targets and at least 95% AI code review adoption.

• Integrate agentic development tools into daily workflows and promote team adoption.

• Stay updated on agentic development tools and propose improvements to engineering leadership.

• Collaborate with client stakeholders for requirements clarification, design reviews, demo feedback, and issue resolution.

• Investigate underlying business challenges and advocate for solutions that can be generalized across the CEM platform.

• Partner with engineering, product management, QA, architecture, and senior engineering stakeholders on planning and delivery.

• Coordinate with QA engineers regarding test coverage, quality gates, and release readiness.

• Collaborate on cross-team technical decisions and standards.

• Identify delivery risks, technical blockers, and scope concerns to engineering leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in enterprise SaaS environments.

• Proven technical leadership experience within a scrum team.

• In-depth full-stack expertise in C#, .NET (Framework and/or Core), Angular, and Oracle.

• Strong proficiency in Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Experience with CQRS patterns in multi-service architectures.

• Practical experience with agentic development tools like GitHub Copilot or Devin.AI.

• Proven track record of driving AI adoption within an engineering team.

• Strong discipline in code review and commitment to engineering quality standards.

• Experience with unit testing using xUnit/NUnit and Jasmine/Karma.

• Familiarity with CI/CD hygiene and definition-of-done rigor.

• Experience with Angular 15+, Reactive Forms, RxJS, Angular Material, and TypeScript.

• Knowledge of Oracle databases and PL/SQL development, including packages, procedures, views, and query optimization.

• Experience with Entity Framework Core and the Oracle EF Core provider.

• Over 3 years of experience with Azure cloud technologies and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with client stakeholders and explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Experience in working with global, distributed teams across multiple time zones.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

• Preferred: familiarity with .NET modernization patterns.

• Preferred: experience with Liquibase schema migration tooling.

• Preferred: familiarity with Serilog, Datadog APM, or Application Insights.

• Preferred: experience with Docker, Podman, or similar containerization tools.

• Preferred: experience with Hangfire or similar background job scheduling tools.

• Preferred: experience across multi-repo, multi-product platforms sharing a common database and internal NuGet package ecosystem.

• Preferred: background in financial services, equity compensation, or related regulated domains.

• Preferred: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.

• Preferred: experience mentoring mid-level engineers into senior roles.
